Serenity is a 2018 IM Global. Serenity is scheduled to be released on October 19, 2018.
Anne Hathaway seems to be grabbing the taste of crime, and after helping to commit the robbery of the century in the super successful, feminist, Ocean's 8, continues with a dark thriller - Serenity - in which he seeks revenge, or rather to do justice, of her abusive husband, or that's what she says.
Steven Knight, writer of Locke, Dirty Pretty Things, Eastern Promises, Peaky Blinders and the upcoming sequel to Wolrd War Z, writes and directs this story in which Hathaway plays Karen, a woman (with the air of Femme Fatale of the 50s ) who convinces her ex-husband, Matthew McConaughey, that she is trapped in an abusive and violent relationship and asks for help to get out of it, in other words, to kill her new husband.
In Serenity, Karen tries to convince her ex that she has the perfect plan. "My husband has never seen your face. You were right about him. I want you to take it on your boat and push it to the sea for the tibuones ", the problem is that things get more and more strange, they all start acting very suspiciously and Karen's real motives are becoming less clear ( very much like the films of the Film Noir in which, to rescue the "damsel in danger", the hero gets into too many problems).
Diane Lane, Jason Clarke, Djimon Hounsou and Jeremy Strong are some of Hathaway's accomplices in this story where nothing is as it seems and everything is more complicated than you think at first.
If you thought that Anne Hathway was the perfect ally to steal a bank, or a very expensive necklace at the Met gala, this movie will convince you that you could also love her on your side in case you want to "disappear" to one of your enemies of the map.
